How much does the SOA certification cost?

FEES

The fee for the certification activities is determined by applying the minimum rate established by law.

The calculation of fees is performed according to the categories and classes effectively declared.

The payment of the fee can be deferred.

First qualification and renewal

The minimum fee payable to the SOA to obtain the certification is determined with the following formula (Annex C part I of Presidential Decree 207/2010):

P “BASIC FEE” =[C/12.500 + (2 x N + 8) x 413.16] x 1.0413 x R

where:

C = total amount of qualifications requested in the various categories
N = number of categories for which qualification is requested
R = coefficient of the increase recorded by the ISTAT cost of living index equal to 1,516.

Three-year verification
P = CB x 3/5

where:

CB = basic fee calculated for the certification held at the time of the three-year verification

Class increase
P = CB x 1/3

where:

CB = basic fee applied by inserting 1 in item N and the difference between the old class and the new class in item C (the fee must be applied to each individual class increase)

New category integration
P = CBna – CBva

where:

CBna = basic fee calculated for the new certification
CBva = basic fee calculated for the old “BASIC” certification = [C/12.500 + (2 x N + 8) x 413.16] x 1.0413 x R
